The Honu Restaurant is a contemporary eatery and traditional Hawaiian style tiki bar with a relaxed vibe serving island-style dishes. We serve unique and creative cocktails and mock-tails. Inside Honu is The Ka Pakele private rum bar with some of the most sought after and high-end Rums from around the world. Quality is at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking for Hosts who are enthusiastic about learning about tiki culture, outgoing, have experience in casual fine dining and / or high volume restaurants and love having fun.

Our Hosts are expected to be the face of the restaurant as you are generally the first face guests see. The Honu has a fast-paced and high-volume atmosphere, so it is crucial that our Hosts take pride in providing attentive and friendly service that ensures our guests feel valued and welcome.

Responsibilities:
  • This position requires greeting & seating customers while maintaining a clean safe space.
  • Arrives for shifts in a clean uniform and maintains good hygiene.
  • Trained to be well versed in all merchandise items.
  • Bringing water, menus and utensils to guests and dog menus and bowls of water to dogs.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist co-workers when necessary.
  • Takes initiative and shares areas to improve quality of service when opportunity arises.
Qualifications:
  • Welcome guests in the aloha style
  • Ability to navigate POS systems                 
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
