- Customer Service: Ensure and exude world-class customer service and sales to internal and external customers. Includes saying “bonjour” (hello) to every customer. Engage verbally with each customer and effectively sell through product knowledge and suggestive selling. Follow the CARE acronym and greet customers within 15 seconds.
- Product Knowledge: Actively demonstrates product knowledge (bread, pastry, baked goods, coffee, cheese, and specialty goods) to enable effective sales, up selling and merchandising of products. Knows café items to ensure accuracy of food taken to customer.
- Operations Systems & Procedures
- Coordinate with café line and barista staff to ensure proper orders are made, plated and delivered on time.
- Process monitor data efficiently to execute ticket time goals.
- Deliver coffee and food orders to customers, ensuring to confirm orders.
- Correct orders, when necessary, per the customer’s request and expectations.
- Assist in pre-busing and busing tables throughout shift.
- May be responsible for delivering samples to guests.
- Maintain coffee station: full fresh hot coffee, fresh cold creams, full condiments, and packaging, clean and organized, stock backup below.
- Set-up expo station and reset station for next shift.
- Perform daily open and close checklists.
- Perform side work as necessary.
- Answer the phone to La Farm standards.
- Ensure overall unit safety and sanitation goals and policies.
- Maintain grade “A” or better by beating health and sanitation inspection standards.
- Uphold company standards and policies for opening/closing.
- Ensure safe working conditions and comply with all laws.
