We are looking for a Host/Hostess to join our team at The Saint in Lower Gaston! The Saint experience focuses on fresh pasta, dry-aged steaks, and options for vegetarians and vegans.
What we are looking for:
- Greet guests with a welcoming smile and professional manner and assist guests to their table.
- Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups.
- Clear & concise knowledge of the reservation operating system. Keeping an accurate count of reservations and managing the reservation book. Communicate special reservation requests regarding allergies, special occasions, etc. – Responsible for conveying all such information to management and appropriate staff.
- Answering phones, answering guest inquiries, taking guest reservations, knowledge of room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code.
- Ensure menus are currently updated according to the most recent changes. Clean and replace any damaged inserts or menu covers.
- Frequently check back with guests who are waiting to be seated; make it evident to guests that they have not been forgotten and that tables are being prepared for them.
- Maintain a clean and organized host area.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Ideal Candidate:
- Prior host experience in fine dining is preferred.
- Candidate must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
- Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
- Candidate must exhibit excellent guest service, communication and multitasking skills.
- Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, must be able to work weekends, and holidays.
