Essential Duties:
  • Team: Embody La Farm values through action, example and communication: Exceed

  • Cleaning: Clean and sanitize dishes (using hand sink and machine wash), dry and put away. Wash floors. Check and clean bathrooms.
  • Porter: Maintain flow of work with clearing dining room bus bins. Receive and put away delivery orders. Dispose of garbage. Break down boxes.
  • Additional growth opportunities in other departments are available for dedicated employees who show an aspiration to learn!
Other Essential Duties:
  • Operations Systems & Procedures
  • Complete open and close checklists.
  • Complete checks, for example, check dining room every 15 minutes.
  • Tray chips correctly.
  • Receive orders, and place, label, date orders accurately.
  • Set up the next shift for success.
  • Ensure overall unit safety and sanitation goals and policies.
  • Maintain grade “A” or better by beating health and sanitation inspection standards.
  • Uphold company standards and policies for open/closed.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and comply with all laws.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • One year of dishwashing experience.
  • Great relationship building skills and demonstrated positive demeanor as a team player.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and accurately meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to help wherever needed.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
Essential Physical Demands:
  • Ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour

MEDICAL INSURANCE
La Farm offers medical insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. Employees may choose from the plans: Choice Plus Plan: A high deductible health plan that allows you to enroll in a health savings account (save pretax dollars for use on medical expenses not covered by insurance. Choice Plus Direct Plan: A buy-up plan, where you pay a co-pay at your doctor’s office while meeting a lower deductible.
DENTAL COVERAGE
La Farm offers a dental plan through MetLife to all eligible employees and their family members. Coverage includes preventative care, major dental care, and orthodontia care.
VISION COVERAGE
Vision coverage is offered through MetLife to all eligible employees and their family members. Coverage assists with the cost of eye exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses.
LONG-TERM DISABILITY and SHORT-TERM DISABILITY
Long-Term and Short-term disability plans are an optional benefit and paid by employees through payroll deduction. This benefit applies to non-work-related injuries and illnesses. Short-Term disability covers 60% of your base salary to a maximum of $1,000 per week, for up to 26 weeks. There is a 14-day waiting period. Long-Term disability covers the portion of your base salary you select starting at 27 weeks up to federal retirement age.
EMPLOYEE LIFE INSURANCE and ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT (AD&D)
La Farm offers basic life insurance for employees that is a 100% employer-paid benefit equal to your annual salary. Additional life insurance options are available for employees, spouses, and dependents. Employees are responsible for the cost of these voluntary options.
PAID TIME OFF (PTO)
Paid Time Off (PTO) provides employees the flexibility to use time off to meet personal needs. An employee is eligible to accrue PTO if he/she works a minimum of 30 hours per week and has completed 90 days of continuous employment.
