El Cocinero de Línea y Preparación desempeña un papel esencial en las operaciones de cocina, combinando la preparación meticulosa de ingredientes con la ejecución precisa de los platos en la línea de servicio. Trabaja estrechamente con el equipo culinario para garantizar que todos los platillos se elaboren conforme a los estándares establecidos y siguiendo las recetas al pie de la letra. Además de preparar ingredientes, este puesto requiere cocinar y emplatar durante el servicio, así como adaptarse a las necesidades cambiantes de la cocina para mantener un flujo de trabajo constante. Responsabilidades:

  • Preparar ingredientes con precisión, incluyendo lavar, pelar, cortar y porcionar frutas, verduras, carnes y otros insumos.

  • Cocinar, emplatar y dar los toques finales a los platillos durante el servicio, asegurando la presentación y temperatura correctas.

  • Elaborar salsas, marinadas y otros componentes siguiendo las instrucciones del Chef Principal o Gerente de Cocina.

  • Mantener organizada y abastecida la estación de trabajo para un servicio fluido.

  • Garantizar la limpieza y desinfección de las áreas de trabajo, equipos y utensilios.

  • Colaborar con el equipo en la línea y en la preparación, ayudando en ambas áreas según la demanda del servicio.

  • Recibir y almacenar productos, asegurando la rotación adecuada del inventario.

  • Apoyar en tareas generales como lavado de platos y limpieza de superficies.

  • Comunicarse de manera efectiva con todo el personal de cocina para coordinar tiempos y asegurar una operación fluida.

Requisitos:

  • Experiencia previa como cocinero de línea y/o preparación es deseable.

  • Conocimiento básico de seguridad alimentaria y prácticas de higiene.

  • Habilidad para seguir recetas y procedimientos con exactitud.

  • Atención al detalle y excelente organización.

  • Capacidad para trabajar bajo presión y manejar múltiples tareas en un ambiente de ritmo rápido.

  • Buenas habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.

  • Flexibilidad para trabajar en distintos turnos, incluyendo noches, fines de semana y días festivos.

  • Resistencia física para estar de pie por largos periodos y levantar objetos pesados.

  • Actitud proactiva y disposición para aprender y asumir nuevas responsabilidades.

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
