We are looking for an enthusiastic, hospitality minded, service professional to join our team! 

You are passionate about service and loves to share that passion by going above and beyond for customers. A natural-people-person with an eye for the details. You are looking to join a hard-working and efficient team that cares about great food and customer experience. 

You will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our guests during their visit with us by serving scratch made, chef driven cuisine. You will be crafting exceptional coffee beverages, or a craft cocktails. You will be taking dine-in and to-go orders, delivering beverages in a timely fashion, managing your running side work, and resolving customer issues. In addition, you will help by cleaning tables, removing dirty dishes, setting tables, and running food and beverage.  Essentially, you are great at managing multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. With special attention to the details, you care about performing quality work and overall contributing to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.    We are crew at Olive and Finch and while you will be focused on once particular responsibility at a time, you can jump in and help with all responsibilities of our beverage and service team.
 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Provide legendary guest service.
  • Produce coffee drinks and cocktails to O&F specifications.
  • Take orders customers for food and beverages.
  • Deliver all food and beverages in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the restaurant.
  • Greet guests and guide them through ordering process.
  • Provide guests with menus. 
  • Inform guests of current promotions 
  • Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages. 
  • Answer the phone. 
  • Take to-go orders. 
  • Keep the order counter stand neat, tidy, and presentable for guests. 
  • Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths 
  • Set tables with condiments and other supplies. 
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning. 
  • Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties. 
  • Responding to and resolving customer concerns or complaints
  • Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service.
Qualifications: 
  • Ability to memorize all the ingredients in both the menu as well as daily/weekly specials.
  • General knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs ● Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor ● Ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred. 
  • Friendly and customer-focused personality  
  • Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs 
  • Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone. 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy. 
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
