Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Reports to:
Director, Engineering & Maintenance

Department: Engineering 

Salary Range: $27-32/ hour


Description/Expectations:

Industrial Mechanics assist in various aspects of maintenance and repair for brewing, packaging and cellar equipment. The position is responsible for regular preventative maintenance as well as responding to requests by brewers, cellar and machine operators as assigned. Strong mechanical aptitude and good interpersonal communication skills are required for this position. 

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Responsible for servicing all equipment including motors, drives, electrical systems, pumps, with regular routine maintenance.
  • Minimize the potential for any "down time" during the company's normal production hours.
  • Train production employees regarding the proper and safe use of the company's equipment and facilities.
  • Follow SOPs for maintenance operations and preventive maintenance.
  • Work with management to continually recognize and assess possible plant improvements.
  • Flexible scheduling, including weekend work, may be required to accommodate preventive or emergency maintenance.
  • Be a champion for safety.
  • Ability to stay organized and follow directions/priorities listed in maintenance log and/or direction from manager.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in a food or beverage packaging plant is preferred.
  • Previous brewery experience is not essential.
  • HMI and PLC knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong understanding/experience with mechanical and engineering systems.
  • Good communication skills.
