Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with warmth, enthusiasm, and a welcoming smile.
- Take and process orders efficiently using our POS systems.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the counter and small seating area.
- Address customer concerns professionally upholding our commitment to exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to handle orders accurately and efficiently.
- Work well in a team with a positive attitude and willingness to help colleagues.
- Available to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods of time and staying active during busy periods.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn health and safety standards applicable to food service.

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schmackary’s Expands to Long Island: Bringing Broadway’s Favorite Cookies to a New Stage
Long Island is about to get a lot sweeter as NYC-based Schmackary’s, known as the “Official Cookie of Broadway,” is coming to Long Island, opening in the former Roslyn Kosher store located at 1044 Willis Avenue. With a starring role in Only Murders in the Building (Season 3 on Hulu), this iconic cookie shop offers an ever-evolving menu of 100+ rotating flavors, featuring creative twists on classics such as red velvet, dulce de leche, key lime, green tea, butter pecan, caramel apple crisp, cookie dough, and funfetti.
More than just your average cookie shop, Schmackary’s offers one-of-a-kind cookie cakes and ice cream creations, including its new-fashioned milkshakes, signature cookie-infused soft serve, and the always loved ice cream sandwiches. To complement these sweet delights, Schmackary’s Long Island will proudly serve coffee from Four Five Coffee Roasters, ensuring customers can enjoy the perfect pairing of fresh-baked goodness and premium brews. Plus, with vegan and gluten-free options available, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Since its founding in 2012, Zachary Schmahl, founder of Schmackary’s, has partnered with Broadway productions to create specialty-themed cookies for shows such as Disney’s Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Beetlejuice, Newsies, and very recently, Hell’s Kitchen, the hit Broadway musical from Alicia Keys. Schmackary’s endless support for Broadway and its delicious cookies have caught the attention of many stars, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Alicia Keys. Beyond Broadway, Schmackary’s has recently teamed up with the New York Yankees and fashion giants such as Aerie to show appreciation for fans and customers alike.
The plan for Long Island and beyond is to similarly immerse itself into the community and culture it serves by supporting its residents and local organizations such as schools, universities, theatre groups, hospitals, sports teams, and other local businesses.
