SERVER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Friendly and smiling team member with a positive attitude to assist guest in their dining experience. Skills such as multitasking, personalized customer service, coachability, and teamwork are necessary. A restaurant server's job involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, ensuring customer satisfaction, and handling payments, all while maintaining a positive and efficient dining experience.
Core Duties:
- Guest Interaction:
- Greet guests warmly and direct them to their tables.
- Present menus and answer questions about dishes and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, noting any special requests or allergies.
- Suggest menu items and offer recommendations.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Food and Beverage Service:
- Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner.
- Ensure food is presented attractively and is of high quality.
- Refill drinks and clear plates as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu and any daily specials.
- Order Management:
- Communicate orders accurately to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently and effectively.
- Payment Processing:
- Present checks and process payments accurately.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Restaurant Environment:
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Set tables with appropriate linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Assist other servers and staff as needed.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
