Supervisor: Director of Culinary
Job Summary: The Facilities and Logistics Manager will be
responsible for the efficient management of our facility, warehouse operations, fleet, and logistics. This role ensures that all kitchen equipment, vehicles, and storage areas are maintained, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. It also ensures that all aspects of facilities maintenance, inventory management, and distribution are executed effectively to support our organizational goals. Additionally, the manager will coordinate transportation logistics for events, ensuring that all food and equipment arrive on time and in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilities Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and operations of the 5601 Tillman Ave facility, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, renovations, and other facility-related services.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs to maintain cleanliness and sustainability.
- Supervise warehouse staff, ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Implement best practices for inventory control, reducing discrepancies and optimizing storage.
- Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage the driving department, optimizing delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely distribution.
- Develop strategies to improve logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and inspection of the company’s catering trucks.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle licensing requirements.
- Supervise loading/unloading of vehicles to ensure efficient packing and proper food safety protocols.
- Maintain vehicle logs, fuel usage, and mileage records.
- Collaborate with the culinary and events team to ensure all necessary equipment, food, and supplies are properly packed and transported for each event.
- Develop contingency plans for logistical challenges such as traffic delays, weather conditions, or vehicle issues.
- Ensure all drivers follow safety protocols and maintain clean, well-maintained vehicles.
- Prepare and manage budgets for facilities, warehouse, and logistics operations.
- Track and analyze operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Generate regular reports on performance metrics, fleet maintenance, and inventory trends, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff within the facilities, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities and logistics management.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, fleet management, and transportation logistics.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate well with other team members, contractors, and facility management staff.
• Strong background in contract negotiation, including terms related to delivery schedules, pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics.
