The Northport Hotel is a luxury property known for refined hospitality and exceptional dining. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Maintenance Technician to help maintain the high standards of our hotel and restaurant facilities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all areas of the property are safe, fully functional, and well-kept—contributing to a comfortable and memorable guest experience.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the building, equipment, and overall property. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and takes pride in creating a well-maintained, guest-ready environment. Key responsibilities include completing preventive maintenance, responding to guest and team requests, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting general repairs throughout the property.
Starting pay is $23/hour, based on experience.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled
- Complete work orders and assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Conduct general repairs in guest rooms and public areas
- Respond to guest and operational maintenance request
- Maintain kitchen equipment
- Repair locks and maintain key systems as needed
- Assist with larger repair and maintenance projects
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Properly handle, store, and maintain tools and cleaning chemicals
- Ensure the security of assigned tools and access keys
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Prior experience in general maintenance or building trades preferred
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional, clean appearance and demeanor
- Ability to use basic technology (smartphones, email, work order systems)
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
