As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a welcoming atmosphere and managing the flow of the restaurant. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for an enjoyable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Colonial House menu training.
- Welcome guests to the restaurant in a pleasant manner.
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
- Manage reservations as needed.
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas.
- Provide menus and children’s menus.
- Coordinate with bussers and servers about available seating options via headset.
- Maintain a clean reception area.
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly).
- Answer incoming calls and address customer queries.
- Buss tables as needed.
- Thank customers upon their departure.
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen staff.
- Address complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
- Alert management of guest concerns or issues immediately.
- Process cash and credit card payments.
- Maintain health and safety regulations within the dining room and kitchen.
- Take to-go orders and manage the to-go station as assigned.
- Perform assigned side work.
- Be a team player and assist with other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints gracefully.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
