Assistant General Manager’s primary purpose is to assist the General Manager in developing restaurant management and hourly staff to build and increase sales over the previous year and improve profitability, while ensuring employee and guest satisfaction, without compromising the integrity or culture of the concept. The Assistant General Manager operates at certain times with the General Manager but performs most job duties independently from the General Manager. · Serv Safe Manager Certification
· Stable work history with 1+ years management experience in high volume, casual dining or family-style restaurants

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is primarily responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training employees; setting and adjusting employees’ rates of pay; setting and adjusting employees’ hours of work; directing the work of employees; handling employee complaints and grievances; and disciplining employees.
· Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of all positions in the restaurant, be proficient in performing such duties, and through instruction, supervision and guidance of the General Manager, identify talent, hire, train and develop restaurant management and hourly team members
· Successfully operate shifts during different volume times of the week, leading by example and being a role model of the standards and behaviors consistent with Flippers Pizzeria’s values and culture
· Develop a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house team members and guide all team members to meet established objectives

· Coming to work when scheduled is an essential component of your job. When you are tardy or absent, the operation suffers and consequently, the quality of services to the customer also suffers. Regular attendance during all scheduled hours of work, reporting to work on time and continuing to work until the end of your shift is a major component of your duties.
· Maintain dough pars based on 96 hours/4 days
· Minimum dough age of 5 days
· Control food costs in and out of the kitchen with proper recipe execution and waste management, while maintaining a clean and organized restaurant
· Act as General Manager when General Manager is not present in the restaurant; assist in performing administrative duties including payroll, inventory, food ordering, proper cash handling
· Assist in meeting or exceeding established sales, revenue, and profitability goals; assist with local store marketing opportunities
· Ensure that safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to and that team members are trained in appropriate responses to unsafe situations
