Job Title: Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for efficient and accurate processing of customer transactions, ensuring a positive checkout experience through friendly service, while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist with purchases.
Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to scan items and process sales.
Handle various payment methods (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, coupons).
Accurately provide change, issue receipts, refunds, or store credit.
Answer questions about products or company services.
Perform end-of-shift cash drawer reconciliation and reporting.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-stocked sales area.
Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
Upsell or cross-sell products and promote additional services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Comfortable learning new POS systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours (evenings, weekends).

Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
