About the Role
Tim’s Corner Market is looking for a dependable, multi-talented Deli & Store Clerk to join our team in the heart of Beechview. We are a neighborhood staple, and we take pride in providing great service and even better food to our community. As a clerk, you will be the face of the market—handling everything from our famous local hoagies to the daily morning rush at the register.
Key Responsibilities

Deli Operations: Prepare high-quality hoagies and deli sandwiches to order; slice meats and cheeses with precision.

Fresh Baking: Manage daily bread-making duties to ensure our deli has fresh rolls and our customers have the best local bakes.

Customer Service: Operate the cash register efficiently, handle transactions accurately, and greet every neighbor with a smile.

Inventory Management: Stock and organize shelves, ensuring products are rotated and the storefront looks full and inviting.

Safety & Hygiene: Strictly follow all health and sanitary codes to maintain a clean kitchen and shopping environment.

Maintenance: Assist in keeping the store tidy, including light cleaning of the deli area and restrooms.
What We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous experience in a deli or retail environment is a plus, but we are willing to train someone with a great attitude.

Skills: Ability to work a deli slicer and multitask during busy lunch rushes.

Reliability: We need someone who shows up on time and is ready to support the Beechview community.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills—you should enjoy chatting with regulars and helping new customers.

Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs for stocking.

We are pleased to be able to offer eligible Crew Members health care benefits through UPMC Health Plan. The Company will pay 50% (fifty percent) of the Health Insurance Premium for qualified full-time management Crew Members and 25% (twenty-five percent) for non-management Crew Members. CREW MEMBER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

PAID TIME OFF
Slice Crew believes it is beneficial to Crew Members and Slice Crew that Crew Members take time off so that they will remain productive and enthusiastic while at work in addition to having paid sick days available. Slice Crew provides flexibility and choices to Crew Members to take time off through Paid Time Off (“PTO”). PTO is available for use throughout the year, instead of providing separate time off for sick, vacation, personal reasons, and other purposes. Subject to the requirements of this Policy, you may use your PTO for any purpose, including for vacation, illness, personal reasons, appointments, school, and any other activity of the Crew Member’s choice
