Qualifications

  • NO PRIOR MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE NECESSARY ( prefer 1+ year in fast-casual/restaurant leadership role).
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook (helpful for reporting/scheduling; not always strictly required)
  • Ability to handle fast-paced and high-stress situations in the cafe
  • Organize and establish priorities with minimal supervision
  • Able to provide feedback and recommendations on cafe and team performance
  • Positive, energetic attitude with a passion for healthy eating and guest service

Responsibilities

  • During the training program, you will learn all aspects of cafe operation to ensure successful execution of fresh, made-to-order smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, and bowls with fast, friendly, accurate service while maintaining a clean, vibrant, and organized shift
  • Gain experience in managing cafe-level metrics (sales, labor, inventory) to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction
  • Assistant Managers help oversee the day-to-day operations of a Tropical Smoothie Cafe with a positive, upbeat, team-focused attitude
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences and "inspiring healthier living"
  • Ensure the cafe is in top condition, team members perform duties efficiently, and food safety/quality standards are met 100%
  • Train, coach, and develop crew members; handle scheduling, inventory, and cash handling
  • Step in for any role (smoothie maker, cashier, prep) as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Support opening/closing procedures and maintain a fun, welcoming atmosphere
