Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cut meat products using precise knife skills and meat cutting techniques to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Assist customers with selecting meats, providing knowledgeable recommendations and excellent service.
  • Package meat products efficiently and attractively, maintaining proper food handling and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher shop area, including sanitation of tools and work surfaces.
  • Follow food safety protocols rigorously to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Support food preparation tasks such as trimming, portioning, and wrapping meat items for retail display or storage.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels, restock displays, and monitor product freshness.
Requirements

  • Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings.
  • Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with shoppers.
  • Prior experience in culinary roles or kitchen environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably.
