 Position Overview: We are seeking a professional and welcoming Host to assist with the front-of-house activities at our restaurant as well as manage the FOH staff during shift. As the first point of contact, the Host plays a crucial role in ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and enjoy a memorable dining experience from arrival to departure. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Guest Reception & Customer Interaction: Greet customers as they enter the establishment, provide them with menus, manage reservations, and oversee seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service.
  • Guest Service: Answer any initial questions regarding food and beverage options, address and accommodate special requests, dietary needs, and seating preferences to enhance guest satisfaction. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues, ensuring guest satisfaction and repeat business. Monitor customer feedback and implement necessary operational improvements to enhance the dining experience.
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison between guests and restaurant staff, ensuring clear and effective communication to facilitate efficient service and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Operational Efficiency: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the guest reception area, manage dining menus, and ensure all front-of-house materials are up-to-date and well presented.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints diplomatically, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the establishment's reputation.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor and maintain compliance with all restaurant safety standards and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.
  • Leadership and Staff Management: Manage shift operations, including scheduling, staff training, and performance evaluation. Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
Qualifications: 

  • Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in customer service or a hospitality role, with a demonstrated ability to manage FOH staff and engage and satisfy guests.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting warmly and effectively with guests and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring all aspects of the guest experience are managed effectively from cleanliness to personal interactions.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace.
