Who We're Looking For
Reporting to our Installation Manager, Batbox is seeking a Dallas-based Installation Lead (Simulators) to provide on-the-ground leadership and hands-on install support to a team of field technicians installing our state-of-the-art baseball simulators across sports bars, entertainment venues, and partner locations throughout the U.S.A. This is a highly visible, travel-heavy field leadership role. The Installation Lead will be the day-to-day lead on site, helping guide the team through multi-day installations, keeping work moving, supporting morale, and representing Batbox professionally with clients at partner locations.

This role is ideal for someone who has led field-based installation teams in an environment such as AV integration, interactive display technology, entertainment technology, experiential venues, or another hardware-enabled business involving physical installation, troubleshooting, and client handoff. The right person is a hands-on, mechanically inclined field leader who is comfortable using tools, assembling components, and troubleshooting practical installation issues in the field.

Your commitment to our core values of ‘Be a Good Person’, ‘Amp the Experience’, ‘Lead Together’, & ‘Level Up’ and your dedication to our pillars of ‘Craft Legendary Experiences’, ‘Powered by People’, ‘Build for the Future’, & ‘Beyond the Game’ will contribute to a future that's innovative and beyond the ordinary.

This role is not a fit for:
  • Backgrounds with software-only deployments with limited hands-on field installation work
  • Backgrounds focused exclusively on areas such as HVAC, flooring, or other trade-specific installations
  • Experience with IT or communications installation infrastructure only, such as network equipment or internet installations

Your Impact
  • Lead day-to-day on-site installation activities, including organizing daily work, assigning tasks, keeping the team aligned, and ensuring installation milestones are met

  • Lead and support the unloading, staging, organization, and early inventory verification of installation materials, tools, equipment, and simulator components on site, ensuring missing, incorrect, or damaged items are identified and escalated as early as possible so vendors and internal teams have time to resolve issues before they impact the install schedule.

  • Participate directly in the physical installation of Batbox simulator components, including cages, kiosks, ramps, turf, netting, displays, hardware, cabling, mounting, alignment, and related installation requirements, including calibration

  • Ensure the install team reads and follow installation protocols, layouts, checklists, and site-specific instructions to ensure each installation is completed accurately and consistently

  • Identify site conditions, space constraints, missing materials, damage, access issues, or other installation risks early and communicate them to the Installation Manager

  • Troubleshoot installation issues in real time, identify workable solutions, and escalate when additional support or decision-making is required

  • Conduct routine quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure work is completed to Batbox standards before final review and handoff

  • Provide on-site direction to local labor and third-party contractors during installations, including setting daily expectations, keeping work on track and ensuring third-party work is completed safely and to Batbox standards

  • Represent Batbox professionally as the primary client-facing contact on site, provide simulator training to partners, and lead the final walkthrough to hand over the simulator for client use.

  • Lead, coach, and support field technicians on site by setting the tone for professionalism, teamwork, communication, and client service, while keeping the team focused, calm, and motivated during long installation days and travel-heavy schedules.

  • Conduct routine site checks to help ensure the installation team is following required health and safety standards, address concerns in the moment, ensure required PPE is worn, and escalate risks or incidents to the Installation Manager as needed

  • Lead the installation team through end-of-install activities while actively participating in testing, site cleanup, documentation, and confirming the simulator is ready for client use.

  • Support install readiness between projects at the Batbox air-conditioned warehouse to prepare supply kits, account for tools, prep materials, and ensure items are ready for shipment to the next install

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in field-based installations, ideally in AV integration, interactive display technology, entertainment technology, experiential venues, or a hardware-enabled environment involving physical installation and client-facing delivery

  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, and directing field-based teams

  • Hands-on installation experience and comfort using tools, working with physical components, and solving practical installation challenges in real time

  • Must be willing and able to complete Batbox-approved forklift/powered industrial truck training and evaluation and become employer-authorized to operate equipment, as needed, to support the safe unloading, movement, staging, and organization of installation materials, tools, equipment, and simulator components on site. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

  • Calm under pressure, especially during long days, changing site conditions, client questions, or installation challenges

  • Presentable, professional, and comfortable interacting directly with clients, partner contacts, contractors, and internal stakeholders

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to own day-to-day execution on site

  • Holds a high bar for safety, installation quality, reliability, consistency, and repeatability

  • Clear and effective communicator with both front-line teams and clients

  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to spot site issues early, respond quickly, and keep installations moving smoothly

  • Open to traveling around 75% - 85% of the time across the U.S.A, sometimes for weeks at a time

  • Physical Requirements / Work Environment: This role requires the ability to safely lift and carry 50+ lbs, use hand and power tools for extended periods, and work in active installation environments. Work involves frequent standing, bending, squatting, and climbing, including regularly ascending/descending ladders up to 12 feet. The role also involves exposure to noise typical of installation sites
